WELCOME TO OL MESERA TENTED CAMP
Our Camp is perched on the edge of
an escarpment overlooking Selela Valley with Ngorongoro
hills rising in the distance.
Our nearest Village is Selela 12 km away and Mto wa Mbu
village is 14 km to the other direction. We are close to
the road connecting Mto wa Mbu - Engaruka - Ol Donyo Lengai
- Lake Natron, but still in between there is a feeling that
for miles around there is not a human soul nearby. Our neighbours
are guinea foul, squirrels, francolins, quare, mungos, hundreds
of different birds and bigger game like impala, giraffes,
zebras, lesser kudu, and occasional passing elephants. And
of course there are leopards but they can hardly be seen
in the day time.
Our attractions are lovely birds and mammals, the exceptional
beauty of the unspoiled bush around us, and no noise of
the civilization ever reaches us.
