EXPERIENCE TOTAL WILDERNESS AT OL MESERA

Path towards one of the tents
The large tents are very privately situated
We have six big tents under Acacia trees and giant Euphorbia cacti. They are built on the edge of an escarpment and all overlook the Selela Valley, towards the evergreen Ngorongoro Highlands.
The tents are well separated for privacy and have large verandas where you can sit in the shade and enjoy the view, until a magnificent sundown wishes you 'good night' or ‘usiku mwema’ in Swahili. Sunset through the acacia trees

Our tents are comfortable and large, furnished with charming wooden furniture and decorated in traditional African colors.
All have en-suite hot and cold shower and toilet facilities.

Each tent has a magnificent view over the valley, where zebras and impalas graze and giraffes browse through the acacia trees. Occasionally elephants cross the area from Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park.

Our restaurant is covered with a roof and is surrounded by low walls so that the open view can be enjoyed from all tables. Next to the restaurant is our small reception annex bar, while the kitchen, the owner’s house and staff building are located at a modest distance.

Some young Morani (Maasai warriors) from Selela stay in the Camp to guide and to protect whenever desired or needed.

Of course there is no centralized electricity provided in the region. However, throughout the Camp solar energy has been installed. This keeps Ol Mesera illuminated in the darkness when needed, in a clean and peaceful way.
To come to our place drive from Arusha toward Mto wa Mbu then turn right and take Engaruka road for 14 km until you see our signboard "Ol Mesera Tented Camp". Turn left there and drive for another 1.5 km and voila, here you will arrive for a memorable stay in Tanzania.
