Lake Manyara National Park is, as the famous writer Ernest Hemingway once said, "the loveliest I had seen in Africa". And he’s absolutely right!

Characteristic for the park is its diverse vegetation; ranging from savanna to marshes and acacia woodland, in the east the lake with magnificent hippo pool, bordered in the west by the Rift Valley. It has over 400 species of birds, lions that take siestas in the trees, the largest number of elephants in such a relatively small area, and plentiful buffalos, zebras, impalas, baboons and other monkeys, giraffes etcetera.
